The post-Covid environment coupled with an unhealthy lifestyle resulting from the excessive use of technology including smart phones, laptops etc. which no doubt is essential for a modern day living, has necessitated extra responsibilities on part of healthcare professionals across the globe. Additionally, climate change unpredictable pandemics, food security and many such global issues demand timely analysis and provision of apt solutions for the health and well-being of population. This one-year course offers theoretical and practical knowledge and skills by combining public health nutrition and lifestyle medicine to multi -sectoral health care professionals. The course provides valuable knowledge related to epidemiological, dietary, public health, social, and biological aspects of nutritional science and lifestyle medicine. This especially designed content of this course enable students to learn the foundations of public health, nutritional epidemiology and biostatistics along with imparting the importance the science of exercise and physical activity, mental health and behavioral physiology including stress management and sleep regulation, and intervention and prevention for unhealthy habits such as substance abuse and relapse prevention.

Basic Qualifications
The candidate should possess one of the following qualifications or an equivalent degree
from a recognized university or accrediting body.

      •  MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery)
      •  BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery)
      •  B. Pharmacy (Bachelor’s in Pharmacy)/ D. Pharmacy (Doctor of Pharmacy) or

M. Pharmacy (Master’s in Pharmacy)

      • BSc Nursing (Bachelor of Sciences in Nursing)
      • DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine)
      • Master’s Degree in a relevant subject such as Anthropology, Business
Administration, Economics, Human Nutrition, Microbiology, Physiology,
Psychology, Public Health Engineering, Sociology, Statistics and Zoology
